How to spend your time

Spending a Comfortable, Refreshing, and Sophisticated

Adult Time at Tsuruya Onsen Inn

While there are no vast gardens or impressively large open-air lobbies, we do have small courtyard gardens and quietly arranged single-flower vases that provide a sense of peace. Please enjoy a relaxed adult time in a traditional, moist onsen inn.

1.Welcome

Upon arrival, our staff will greet you.

We provide a unique hospitality of the onsen inn, relaxing your heart in a sophisticated atmosphere.

The interior of the inn is made in the traditional style with tatami corridors, offering spacious areas and places of tranquility throughout.

We welcome our guests in a subtly moist
and elegant space.

2.Resting in Your Room

We will guide you to your room from 3 p.m.

Each room has its own unique charm, offering a purely Japanese space built in the sukiya-zukuri style.

The main building, designed and constructed by the renowned master carpenter, the late Masaya Hirata, is alive with beautiful, nostalgic, and somewhat modern light and shadows.

You can find ornaments and exquisite transoms carved by Hirata himself during breaks from work, and the playful spirit of the master craftsman is hidden throughout the inn.

3.Foot Bath and Making Onsen Eggs

In the garden of our guest salon, you can experience a foot bath and making onsen eggs for free.

The fact that you can make onsen eggs is proof that the hot spring is 100% sourced, with no added water or heating.

The onsen eggs made with this spring water have a unique, subtle saltiness that comes from the blessings of the hot spring.

Enjoy the taste of freshly made eggs. The onsen eggs take about 20 minutes to make, so you can wait in the adjacent foot bath.

Relax in the 100% natural flowing hot spring water.

4.Enjoying the Season

U

We use fresh seafood from Mikuni Port and vegetables and wild plants grown in this land.

After a hot bath, enjoy the flavors of Echizen with steaming hot dishes and refreshingly cold dishes, each served at just the right timing.

Enjoy the flavors of Echizen to your heart's content. Meals are served in completely private rooms, allowing you to enjoy your meal slowly and without any hesitation.

5.Soaking in the Onsen

After dinner, head to the large bathhouse to soak in the source spring water.

We use natural hot spring water that springs from three sources on the property, at about 75 degrees Celsius.

The chloride spring, rich in sodium and calcium, warms the body and heart to the core with a faint scent of sulfur.

The fresh source water is also suitable for drinking and is known as gentle on the stomach and intestines.

Enjoy Awara's hot springs in various styles, including a garden bath, an open-air bath, and private reserved baths like "Tsuru's Nest."

6.Relaxing in the Guest Salon

In the guest salon, which has an irori (sunken hearth) and a reading corner, you can spend a relaxing night time listening to JAZZ.

7.Breakfast

Enjoy the gentle flavors of Awara's proud Koshihikari rice, rich dried fish, and flavorful vegetables.

The gentle taste of the morning is especially delightful for a well-rested body.

Both dinner and breakfast are served in private dining rooms.

8.Farewell

After check-out, we will see you off at the entrance.

Enjoy sightseeing around Awara Onsen on your way home.
