The beginning of Awara Onsen dates back to the sixteenth year of the Meiji era when a farmer in the town, Juroku Horie, dug a well in a rice field seeking irrigation water, and a hot spring with a salty taste of about 80 degrees Celsius gushed out.

Since it is a 100% natural hot spring flowing directly from our own source, bathing is possible even at night.

You can enjoy the traditional warmth of "Tsuruya," directly from the three hot spring sources on the premises.

During your stay, you can enter the large communal bath, open-air bath, and footbath at any time.

(except during cleaning at 3 a.m. and during gender-switching times)

We confidently recommend our hot springs to those who are particular about them.

Public Bath "Fuku no Yu"


The public baths and open-air baths at Tsuruya are not circulated but are instead constantly supplied with fresh 100% natural hot spring water.

Therefore, there is no worry about the proliferation of Legionella bacteria.

The garden bath of Fuku no Yu also has a reclining bath.

Operating hours: 15:00 to 10:00 the next morning (except for cleaning and gender switching at 3:00 AM)

Water temperature: Spring temperature 80°C, bath temperature 42.0°C to 42.5°C

Amenities: Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, towels, razors, combs, brushes, hair ties, shower caps

Overview: ※The water is slightly hot, perfect for relieving fatigue.

　　※At 3:00 AM, the baths switch between genders, allowing you to enjoy two different types of baths.





Private Reserved Bath "Tsuru no Su"



You can enjoy a leisurely bath without worrying about other guests in our private reserved bath, which uses 100% self-sourced hot spring water.

If you reserve through our website, you can use it for 1,100 yen (tax included).

Operating hours: 45 minutes per session, 15:00 to 23:00, 7:00 to 9:00

Capacity: 6 people

Foot Bath


In the garden of our guest salon, you can experience a foot bath and making hot spring eggs for free.

Both are of course supplied with fresh hot spring water.

You can enjoy waiting for the hot spring eggs to be ready, or have a pleasant chat with other guests about your travels while relaxing in the foot bath.
